Searching for a big family vehicle? The 2022 Kia Carnival could fit the bill nicely. And while it may look like a minivan, it’s something entirely new: a multi-purpose vehicle or MPV.
2022 Kia Carnival Details
Power and Performance The Kia Carnival comes with a 290-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 engine mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard. For a big vehicle, the Kia Carnival handles very well, and it offers a well-balanced and smooth ride. Its acceleration may also surprise you, as it can go from 0 to 60 mph in seven seconds, which is a pretty great number for an MPV.
Interior The Kia Carnival fits seven people in its standard setup, but there are also 8-passenger models. If you go with one of these, you will get Slide-Flex second-row seats that move side-to-side. The center seat can also be changed into a table. Cloth upholstery and manually adjustable front seats are standard, and upgrades include heated and ventilated front and second-row seats, power-adjustable front seats, and leather upholstery. This new Kia offers 40.2 cubic feet of cargo space with its seats, and when you put down the back row – and take out the middle-row – the total amount of cargo space climbs to 145.1 cubic feet, which even dwarfs the Kia Telluride.
Standard tech features in the Kia Carnival include:
Keyless proximity entry
Hands-free power-sliding side doors
An 8.0-inch touchscreen
Several USB ports
A 6-speaker stereo
There are also loads of available features, such as a dual-screen rear-seat entertainment system, a 12-speaker Bose® sound system, and a wireless charging pad. Safety Kia makes safety a priority with all of its vehicles. Every Kia Carnival comes with pedestrian detection, blind spot monitoring, lane keep assist, and automatic emergency braking. You can also get adaptive cruise control. Get in touch with our Kia dealership near Augusta to learn more about the new Kia Carnival. Or, come down to check out any of our new or pre-owned Kia models.
